Our Verdict
The Fizan Compact 4 Tech Walking Poles have earned a loyal following among lightweight backpackers for good reason. At just 170g per pole, they offer a rare combination of low weight, full adjustability and proven durability. The ALU 7001 construction feels reassuringly solid on the trail, while the EVA grips keep things comfortable without adding unnecessary bulk.
The 51-125cm adjustment range is particularly appealing. It accommodates a broad range of users and works well with the vast majority of trekking pole shelters. I also appreciate the compact four-section design, which packs down small enough for travel and easy storage.
The twist-lock system requires a little more attention than external lever locks, but the weight savings will appeal to many hikers. For long-distance walking and lightweight backpacking, these remain a thoughtfully refined option.
