This fabric also has 30–92% recycled content and is treated with Polygiene® permanent odor control.
Product features include a self-fabric collar with internal neck tape for chafe-free comfort, a locker loop that lets you hang it to dry, full underarm gussets for unhindered shoulder mobility, elastic thumb loops for secure hand coverage, flatlock seams that minimize chafing, offset shoulder and side seams that lie smoothly beneath pack straps, and a drop tail for additional coverage.
Our Verdict
Patagonia's Capilene Thermal Weight Crew is a heavyweight thermal baselayer with a polyester blend for superior warmth in cold conditions. It has an slim fit with offset, flat-locked seams so it's comfortable to wear during high intensity activities for prolonged periods.
This warm, breathable polyester baselayer has a smooth face for easy layering, a high loft brushed-grid interior pattern for soft next-to-skin feel and offers superior warmth for cold conditions. Elasticated thumb loops and a locker loop for drying are nice additional touches. The thumb loops are more comfortable than many other designs as they have enough stretch when you are moving your arms a lot during activity. The inclusion of Polygiene stops it from smelling too bad after exercise, meaning less washing and longer wearing.
