Our Verdict
At 99g (Medium), the Patagonia Capilene Cool Trail Tank prioritises all-day. The fabric has a noticeably soft, cotton-like feel that sets it apart from many synthetic trail tops, while still managing moisture effectively during warm-weather hikes and steady efforts.
The relaxed fit promotes airflow and avoids the clingy feel that can develop during hard work in the heat. Breathability is good, and the fabric dries quickly enough for multi-day use, though it may not work as well with a heavy backpack, as the shoulder straps could rub against exposed skin.
