Montane Womens Allez Pull-on Review - Ultralight Outdoor Gear

May 05, 2022

A baselayer is a baselayer isn’t it? Not so, I Love my Montane Allez Pull-on and did so the first time I put it on. What I like about it is Polartec fleecy grid fabric on the inside face is just so soft and comfy while still being highly breathable. I wore mine on a warm and sunny late September day hiking above Zermatt in Switzerland, it was 20 degrees but I didn’t overheat and felt comfortable all day.

The garment is four way stretch, which means its close fitting which is required for it to perform in this way, the flat seams follow lines that enhance the fit, if I’ve got an average body shape then Montane seem to have got that right.

Other things I like about it are the long sleeves and the body, which covers to top of my bum. The sleeves also have thumb loops which I like– when it turns cold these can be surrogate gloves without having to fish anything out of your pack. I can also zip up against the cold, the collar is not too high or too tight.

Great colour.
