The Women’s Dart XT Zip neck long sleeve base layer is the thickest of the Dart range and has a lovely thermal, brushed pile on the inside that is comfortable against the skin and a smooth tight-knit outer fabric. The 4-way stretch Polyester/Elastine blended fabric makes for a close-fitting technical garment that not only moves easily with the body but also takes moisture away leaving you feeling fresh and dry for longer thus helping to regulate temperature. The zip is fully protected with fabric on the inside, so won’t cause any irritation against the skin but allows for a bit of ventilation if needed. Flat seems connect the front and back panels to the side panels, this not only give this a nice athletic look, but also reflect in its comfort. One small logo on the arm doesn’t scream the brand name but is subtle and in fitting with the garment.
The size I wore was UK12/M and I found it true to size with the 4-way stretch helping it fit and move with the contours of the body. The sleeves taper to the tight-fitting cuffs and the hem doesn’t ride up during activity.
I have used this over the last few weeks for pretty much everything: running, walking, yoga and cycle commuting as autumn sets in with cooler morning and evenings. I have avoided laundering it as often as I normally would to test the Polygeine Odour Control and as yet it has been dirt and grime that have dictated the need to wash rather than smell!
