Our Verdict
The Berghaus Ridge-Seeker GTX Jacket weighs 515g (Medium) and uses a 3-layer Gore-Tex ePE fabric with reinforced high-wear areas, pit zips, and a substantial wired hood.
I wore the Large and found the body fit well, but the sleeves were very long. With a full winter layering system underneath, that may be less noticeable, but if you are not planning to use this primarily as a winter outer, I think it may be worth considering a size down.
The two-way front zip makes sense with a harness, while the pit zips give you a straightforward way to dump heat on steeper climbs. For me, the generous cut is very much part of its winter focus, rather than a particularly streamlined all-season fit.
