At 98 g (Medium), the Belay Gloves strike a balance between protection and dexterity. The X-Dry membrane keeps out water while allowing some breathability, and the recycled materials give a slightly flexible fit across the back of the hand. The leather palm offers a strong grip and good abrasion resistance, with added reinforcement between the thumb and forefinger. This stiff section can feel restrictive for casual use, but for belaying, it performs superbly, shielding the hand where friction and pressure are highest.
