Our Verdict
The Apidura Backcountry Saddle Pack 4.5 L is a well-engineered small-capacity pack. At 233 g, it feels solid yet remains light enough for minimal setups. The welded Hexalon fabric provides reliable water resistance, and the reinforced panels withstand abrasion from mud and grit.
The three-point attachment keeps the pack steady over rough ground, with no sway even when riding out of the saddle. The roll-top closure and compression valve allow a tight, secure pack that maintains its shape. Mounting is straightforward and compatible with dropper posts, provided there’s adequate clearance.
Waterproofing is excellent, and the construction feels ready for long-term use. For riders who want dependable, waterproof storage, this 4.5 L version strikes an ideal balance.
