Our Verdict
The Greystone 30 uses 650-fill-power DownTek treated down with a 340g fill to deliver a balanced mix of warmth and packability, weighing 841g. When paired with a suitable sleeping mat, the -2°C rating feels reasonable, though I would be more comfortable using it closer to 0°C at a push. It is better suited to low single figures rather than pushing much below freezing.
The mummy cut is shaped for efficiency but sits slightly more relaxed than many performance-focused designs, making it easier to settle into and allowing more natural movement in the bag. A full-length zip offers good ventilation control, helping manage temperature in camp, while the contoured hood and draft collar help retain warmth when needed.
The recycled fabrics feel durable without being overly heavy, and the overall construction is straightforward and functional. The DownTek treatment adds some reassurance in damp conditions, helping the insulation maintain loft, though it still benefits from being kept dry. Pack size is reasonable for the category, though not as compact as higher-fill-power alternatives.
