The Army Leather GORE-TEX* is a warm 5-finger glove for skiing in tough weather conditions. Sewn in hardwearing goatskin and heavy-duty recycled polyamide fabric. The fit is pre-curved for comfort and grip. A fleece liner with G-loft synthetic insulation is comfortably warming on chilly winter days.
The model comes out a favourite in tests thanks to its sound design and carefully thought-out details. A high cuff with snowlock is perfect when skiing in powder, while a wrist strap reduces the risk of losing a glove.

Our Verdict
The Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex Gloves are excellent for outdoor excursions in cold, rugged conditions. Constructed with a tough blend of Hestra’s durable Triton polyamide and supple goat leather, these gloves balance warmth with breathability, thanks to the integrated Gore-Tex membrane. They keep hands reliably dry while allowing moisture to escape.
The thoughtful design includes a high cuff to seal out snow, wrist straps to keep the gloves secure, and robust insulation to maintain warmth without excessive bulk. While the leather requires some breaking in and periodic treatment to maintain its weatherproofing (the gloves come with a small tube of leather dubbing), this extra care results in a pair of gloves that can withstand heavy use season after season. A soft inner lining and a pre-curved fit add to the overall comfort, and the gloves offer a reasonable amount of dexterity for essential tasks like adjusting gear or handling poles.
