The Aero 28 is built for the multi-day adventurer who prioritizes movement, comfort, and accessibility to gear, hydration, and calories during faster-paced, higher-mileage endeavors. Designed to provide a perfect fit with its vest-strap harness system.
Our Verdict
At just over 500g (size M), the Aero 28 strikes a sweet spot for multi-day fastpacking, where weight, fit, and access all need to be finely tuned. The vest-style harness holds close to the body and moves well, keeping the load steady without bouncing — ideal for covering ground at pace. The shoulder strap pockets are practical, though I found them best suited for smaller items; larger phones or bottles can feel a bit tight.
The pack’s 28-litre main compartment is clean and straightforward, with an over-the-top strap and roll-top closure that make for quick adjustments. There’s an extra 8.5 litres of external storage spread across a well-shaped front mesh pocket, angled bottle sleeves, and a bottom snack pocket incorporates a discrete “trash port” to stash discarded rubbish — the sort of detail I always appreciate for keeping tidy on the move. You also get a removable hip belt, low-profile back padding, and multiple pole and compression options to adjust the setup as needed.
