Our Verdict
The latest Superfeet Active Support insoles come in High Arch, Medium Arch, and Low, and feature a firmer carbon-blend cap with dual-layer foam that feels more robust than previous versions, which I have used for many years. They have saved me from plantar fasciitis, helping prevent injuries and allowing me to keep hiking even when I almost had to stop.
The updated foam provides consistent shock absorption under load, reducing impact stress and helping prevent injuries, and the footbed maintains its shape well with no noticeable flattening. Fit has been easy in roomy to moderate footwear, and the structured platform helps keep ankles and knees aligned, especially on long ascents. Energy transfer feels smooth from strike to toe off, and comfort has remained consistent over months of regular use.
They are easy to fit into most footwear, though they can take up slightly more volume than the standard foot bed supplied with many shoes, so if your shoes are already snug, they may not work as intended.
