We've taken the ultralight rain kilt you know and love and updated it with an improved 1.1 oz silicone-coated polyester fabric that delivers even better durability, weather protection, and long-term performance…and, they're lighter than ever!
The new fabric offers enhanced tear strength, with ASTM D1424 ratings of 4.9 lbF (warp) and 3.8 lbF (weft), providing increased confidence when you're pushing through brush or tackling rugged trails. It also features a hydrostatic head rating of 2,000 mm, providing dependable waterproof protection to keep most moisture off your lower body while maintaining excellent ventilation and freedom of movement.
Sun exposure isn’t a problem either. With a UPF 20 rating, the fabric blocks 88.67% of UVA rays and 98.48% of UVB rays, adding another layer of protection for long days on the trail. Best of all, it's PFC-free, offering high-performance weather protection without intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Despite these performance upgrades, the ULA Rain Kilt remains true to its roots. At just 2.2 oz, this version is 20% lighter than our previous version!
The ULA Rain Kilt packs down incredibly small into an integrated stuff sack, making it an easy addition to any pack. The elastic waistband fits waists from 28 to 50 inches, while the split-center design and Velcro® tabs provide a comfortable, adjustable fit. And yes, it still doubles as a trusty "modesty kilt" on laundry day in town... just remember to cross your legs when sitting in public! Demand more from your gear.
