Our Verdict
The Flextail Zero Flashlight 1200 is a neat bit of kit that delivers real utility in a 49g package. The five-mode lighting—including a 1200-lumen burst and a 1-lumen moonlight mode—covers everything from close-up camp tasks to scanning a ridgeline. It would be good for night navigation or setting up after dark. The dual-button layout took a moment to learn, but once familiar, it made quick work of cycling between modes. The memory function is a bonus I’ve come to appreciate. The new USB-C charging port feels like a sensible upgrade, and it’s well sealed behind a solid housing. Clipping it to a cap or strap gives a hands-free option that actually stays put.
