Tailored protection without the faff

Our factory built groundsheets offer greater protection and a cleaner floor for your Durston tent. Our floors are designed to last a long lifespan when used with care on regular surfaces, but a groundsheet is recommended for camping on harsher surfaces (e.g. rock, gravel), to provide a greater level of protection against unforeseen objects, for people that don't want to check their campsites for sharp objects, and to keep your tent cleaner. Our groundsheets are the same shape as the floor (they do not cover the vestibule).
To use the groundsheet, position it logo side up and slide it under the floor and clip it to the four floor corners. The ground sheet can be left attached to the tent or removed if you wish. We suggest normally leaving it attached but removing it when drying the tent.
Our Verdict
For me, the biggest advantage of Durston’s groundsheets is how neatly they integrate with the tents. Each one is cut to match the floor and clips directly to the four corners, so you don't have to position a loose sheet underneath every time you pitch.
The 20D Sil/PE polyester fabric protects against abrasion, sharp debris, and wet ground, while the reinforced attachment points, double-folded edges, and double stitching give the construction more substance than a basic footprint. You can also leave them attached when packing, which keeps setup simple.
