Our Verdict
Weighing 352g (UK 12), the Tacul Drilite+ Jacket uses a hybrid construction of 2.5-layer and 3-layer Drilite+ fabrics to provide waterproof protection and breathability while keeping weight low. The Alpine fit allows excellent freedom of movement, and the pre-shaped sleeves work naturally with poles. The hood adjusts cleanly, around the crown and face, sealing out weather without limiting vision, and the large hand pockets sit high enough for harness or hipbelt use.
The fabric feels substantial for a lightweight shell, giving confidence when carrying a pack, and breathability is strong. Underarm vents help regulate temperature during more strenuous efforts. A practical, dependable shell for long days in the hills, offering reliable protection and comfort without unnecessary bulk.
