Montane’s Respond Gloves combine lightweight warmth with functional durability, ideal for active, fast-paced adventures. With Primaloft Gold insulation, these gloves deliver a solid warmth-to-weight ratio while remaining ultra-packable; they tuck away seamlessly in your pack. The PERTEX QUANTUM outer fabric, treated with a PFC-free DWR coating, provides reliable wind resistance and decent water repellency, perfect for unpredictable British weather.
The pre-curved fingers help minimise hand fatigue, allowing for a natural grip that feels almost unnoticeable over time—a real plus for extended use. A brushed microfleece lining adds next-to-skin comfort and speeds up drying, making the gloves suitable for damp conditions. The touchscreen compatibility is a welcome addition, although some might find the responsiveness varies in colder temperatures. While they’re warm enough for most conditions, pairing these with a liner glove and a shell layer could extend their versatility in more extreme weather.
