Our Verdict
At 230g (UK12), the Montane Women’s Ineo Lite Tights are a lighter, softer take on the standard Ineo, making them better suited to warm or mild conditions. The standout for me is the next-to-skin comfort, with the MALA Luxe fabric providing a smooth, stretchy feel that moves easily on steep steps, during faster walks, and in general trail use. The deep waistband gives a secure fit without needing a bulky belt, while the internal drawcord adds a bit of extra adjustment.
I like the pocket layout, with an open thigh pocket for a phone and concealed waistband pockets for smaller essentials. They are not as protective as the standard Ineo in wind, damp or rough terrain, but they make a lot of sense for walkers who like leggings and want a lighter option for summer hiking, travel and fast-moving trail days.
