Our Verdict
The updated Teva Grandview Max Sandals performed well across a mix of dry trails and warm city pavements, and while they’re not built for steep scrambles, they've held up well for what they are. At 323g per shoe (UK 6), they’re a bit more substantial than some ultralight options, but the added structure pays off with noticeably better stability, especially around the heel. The new Achilles padding is a welcome touch on longer days, and the adjustable W strapping system genuinely allows for a precise, dialled-in fit — no fiddling mid-hike.
The LITE-COMF midsole is soft enough for all-day wear but doesn’t feel squishy underfoot. Traction is solid thanks to the Vibram sole; it's nice to see such a hard-wearing sole on a sandal. The recycled mesh upper dries quickly and hasn’t shown signs of wear. For lighter hikes, travel, or camp wear, they’re a solid addition to the kit.
