Montbell says:

Side zippers at the hems enable putting on and taking off the pants while wearing low-cut shoes. The interior features a densely knitted fabric to ensure cling-resistant comfort.
Our Verdict
At 118g (UK 12), the Womens DRYTEC U.L Rain Pants use a 3-layer membrane with a 7-denier Ballistic Airlight nylon face fabric. The result is a waterproof rating above 20,000mm and outstanding breathability. The fabric feels delicate yet surprisingly resilient for regular trail use, and the construction keeps bulk to a minimum.
Fit is relaxed, with enough room for base layers and easy movement. The side zips make pulling them on over boots straightforward, while the articulated knees maintain comfort on steep climbs. Breathability is excellent during continuous activity, preventing the clammy feel common in heavier rain shells. Durability is fair given the fabric weight; they handle trekking and trail use confidently, but require care if bushwacking or scrambling.
