Our Verdict
The Women’s Capilene Cool Sun Hoody focuses on breathability and next-to-skin comfort, with a soft, smooth fabric that sits lightly and manages moisture well. The material lifts slightly to improve airflow, helping it stay comfortable during steady walking rather than high-output efforts.
The fit is relaxed through the shoulders and chest, allowing good airflow without feeling loose. The hood provides consistent coverage and works well over a cap, though it can feel slightly open in stronger winds. Thumb loops extend sleeve coverage across the hands, which helps with sun protection.
At 152g (UK 10), it feels light without being fragile, though the thinner fabric benefits from careful use around rough ground. A small side pocket adds limited storage without affecting comfort.
Overall, it suits warm-weather walking where breathability, sun coverage, and all-day comfort are the priority.
