Our Verdict
The Women’s Anthracite 30 uses Fireline Pro Eco synthetic insulation to deliver consistent warmth and weighs 1140g. Synthetic insulation is less compressible than down, but handles moisture far better and is much easier to wash and dry, making it a practical choice for damp UK conditions. The comfort temp of 0°C makes it well-suited for summer and milder spring and autumn use.
The women’s specific fit is designed to better contour the body, with a reduced taper from shoulders to feet and additional insulation placed where it is most needed. This results in improved thermal efficiency without feeling restrictive, while still allowing comfortable movement in the bag. A full-length zip offers good ventilation control, helping manage temperature as conditions change, while the hood and draft collar seal in warmth effectively on colder nights.
