Our Verdict
The Vidda Pro is a cornerstone of the Fjällräven catalogue, and I think the Lite version keeps much of what makes it so popular while being far better suited to warmer conditions. The G-1000 Air Stretch fabric feels noticeably lighter and more breathable, while reinforced knees and seat retain the durability and practical feel I expect from Fjällräven.
At 451g (Medium), these are still substantial hiking trousers rather than genuinely lightweight ones, but the pocket layout, articulated knees and adjustable hems make them very practical.
One thing worth paying close attention to is the updated sizing. If you already wear Fjällräven trousers, the brand recommends sizing up one size in its Improved Fit. New customers should use the current size guide rather than assuming their usual trouser size will match.
