Our Verdict
The Fjällräven Vardag G-1000 Pile Jacket weighs 1149g (Medium) and combines a full G-1000 outer with a thick pile fleece lining.
For me, the appeal is straightforward. The G-1000 gives you good wind resistance and handles light moisture, while the pile lining adds plenty of warmth for colder days.
The relaxed fit and raglan sleeves make it easy to layer, and the simple pocket layout keeps it practical without overcomplicating things.
This is not a jacket I would reach for when heading out into the hills. It is much more at home as a warm, hard-wearing outer for everyday use, travel and slower days outside.
