This four-wall UltaMid 4 Insert features “no-see-um” mesh and a Dyneema® Composite Fabrics floor for adventurers who want to keep the bugs at bay and gear dry. Built to fit into the UltaMid 4, the 100% waterproof DCF11 bathtub-style base ensures excellent protection in inclement weather. The UltaMid 4 Full-Insert creates a living room for up to four people. The insert is marginally smaller than the perimeter of the UltaMid, so it never touches the walls and keeps condensation to a minimum. UltaMid 4 Tent, Ultralight Stake Kit, and UltaMid Carbon Fiber Tent Pole sold separately.

The Hyperlite Mountain Gear UltaMid 4 Mesh Full Insert with DCF Floor is an impressive addition to the UltaMid 4 shelter, balancing lightweight build and practical protection. Weighing around 806 grams, shields, four campers (or two who enjoy space) from insects and ground moisture. The "no-see-um" mesh walls maintain ventilation while keeping bugs out, and the DCF11 Dyneema floor is waterproof and robust, with a bathtub-style design that keeps water out even in adverse conditions.
Designed specifically for the UltaMid 4, the insert attaches via shock cords and hooks for a snug fit. This ensures it stays in place without touching the outer walls—perfect for minimising condensation. Although the insert adds some weight to the overall setup, the trade-off is well worth it for the comfort and security it provides.
