Our Verdict
The DexShell Ultra Weather Winter Gloves offer a well-judged balance of warmth, waterproofing, and durability for wet and windy conditions. The reflective detailing on the fingers is a thoughtful touch, enhancing visibility in low light, while the reinforced palms ensure a secure and reliable grip. The waterproof membrane performs exceptionally well, keeping hands dry even in sustained rain, though, as with most fully waterproof gloves, dexterity is somewhat reduced. The touchscreen functionality is a welcome feature, but the bulkiness makes precision tasks like navigating or messaging a challenge.
Although rated for temperatures as low as -15°C, I’d opt for a more insulated glove in such extreme cold—here in the UK, these conditions are typically reserved for winter mountains. These gloves would function best in those settings as part of a layered system. That said, for the more common British winter—where persistent rain and biting winds are the main concern—they provide a strong combination of protection, breathability, and comfort.
