Our Verdict
The Igneous Gear UL Repair Spool keeps things simple, with 0.91 metres of Gorilla Tape, 2.74 metres of bonded nylon thread and a needle wrapped around a hollow spool. At 14g, it provides the two most useful options for quick fabric repairs without carrying a larger kit.
The tape can hold damaged fabric together until a more permanent fix is possible, while the thread and needle are better suited to split seams and failed stitching.
With its low weight and compact size, I would simply keep this in my first-aid kit year-round.
