Our Verdict
The Silva Trekking Aluminium Z-Fold Poles are a good fit if you want poles that pack short, yet have a long usable length. The 7075 aluminium shafts feel like the right choice for rougher hill use, while the 37cm folded length makes them much easier to stow than standard telescopic poles.
The 115-135cm adjustment range covers most walkers and works for most trekking pole shelters. I’m a fan of the cork handles, lever locks, and replaceable carbide tips, as they keep the design practical for regular use.
At 294g per pole, they are not the lightest option, but they suit hillwalking and backpacking where packability and durability matter most. They are also a good price for what you get.
