Our Verdict
The Primus Trek Cutlery Set Aluminium focuses on practicality. At 37g, it remains light enough for backpacking while offering a more substantial feel than many minimalist alternatives.
The aluminium construction sits comfortably in the hand, and the spoon shape is particularly well-suited to dehydrated meals and porridge.
There are lighter titanium options available, but I think the balance of weight, comfort and durability is well judged here. For backpacking, camping and travel, it is a straightforward piece of kit that simply does its job well.
