Our Verdict
The Lifesystems Tinder Paracord is a solid take on standard 4mm cord, with a 550lb strength that feels dependable for general camp tasks. At 317g for 31 metres, it is not the lightest option, but the build quality is consistent.
The added strands are a practical touch. The tinder works well once exposed, while the fishing line and cotton thread are there for basic repairs. Accessing them means cutting the cord, so they are best kept in reserve.
A dependable cord with a bit of extra functionality when needed.
