A stripped-back hipbelt for lighter loads and minimal pack setups.

Our Verdict
At 42g, the Gossamer Gear Blackbelt is about as simple as a hipbelt gets: nylon webbing, a buckle and very little else. With a lighter load, I don't always need a padded belt; sometimes I just want something to stop the pack from moving around.
There are no pockets or padding, so it makes less sense once loads get heavier, but for packs such as the Kumo, Skala, or Vagabond, it is a neat way to add a bit more stability ansd reduce some weight.

**The Blackbelt is also compatible with the Mariposa and Gorilla packs. While you can swap the PVT Belt for the Blackbelt, it is not recommended. Adding the Blackbelt could negatively affect the weight transfer performance.
