While an integrated forefoot rock plate shields against sharp rocks and uneven surfaces, the shoe’s design ensures comfort and reliability on demanding trails.
The full eVent waterproof bootie construction ensures reliable protection against rain and shallow water crossings while maintaining breathability, a standout feature for long, active days. Though effective at keeping water out, the waterproof membrane may retain moisture if water enters through the collar, a consideration for those tackling deep crossings.
The Vibram Megagrip outsole with 6 mm multidirectional lugs delivers exceptional traction on wet rocks, muddy trails, and loose scree, ensuring confidence across varied terrain. Ideal for technical descents and lateral movements, an integrated forefoot rock plate further enhances the outsole's performance, which provides reliable protection against sharp rocks and uneven surfaces. The roomy toe box promotes natural toe splay, reducing fatigue on long hikes, while the secure midfoot and heel design offers excellent stability and control on challenging terrain.
The integrated gaiter attachment system, with secure heel anchors and a D-ring at the laces, works seamlessly with Topo’s Performance Gaiter, however, compatibility with other brands’ gaiters may be limited.
