Our Verdict
The Nemo Tensor Elite Regular Wide Mummy Sleeping Mat builds on an already strong design, now offering a wider platform without a big weight penalty. I really liked the standard version of this pad and took it on the West Highland Way, where it performed well, but it always felt like it needed a wider option. This version addresses that directly. For only a 31g increase in weight (compared to the standard pad), you get an extra 5 inches of width, which makes a huge difference.
At 8cm thick, it feels supportive, with the baffle design providing a stable surface that works well for side sleepers. The 10D fabric keeps things light while still feeling durable enough with careful use on typical ground.
With an R-value of 2.4, it sits comfortably in the 3-season category, handling most conditions without adding unnecessary bulk.
The included Vortex pump is made from the same lightweight material as the pad and remains one of the more efficient systems available, making inflation quick while keeping moisture out.
Overall, this feels like a well-judged addition, and it is coming on the TGO this year.
