The Granite Stretch Thermal fabric's warmth and moisture management balance impressed me, keeping me comfortable during intense ascents. The four-way stretch ensures unrestricted movement, while the articulated sleeves enhance comfort during technical manoeuvres. The helmet-compatible hood is well-designed, offering excellent coverage and adjustability without compromising visibility, thanks to its reinforced peak and sturdy crown adjustment.
At 612g (size M), it’s not the lightest softshell, but the added weight is justified by its robust construction. The adjustable hem and cuffs lock in warmth effectively, and the length, two-way zip works seamlessly with a harness, making it highly functional for climbers. Storage is practical, with a reinforced chest pocket and two hand pockets, all securely fastened with sturdy zips.
