Our Verdict
At 253g (Medium), I think this strikes the right balance between comfort and performance. The perforated polyester fabric dries quickly, stretches well and feels better suited to warm-weather walking. I particularly like the combination of the hood and thumb holes, which provide extra coverage without adding complexity. The UPF 30+ rating is enough for most UK use, though dedicated mountain sun hoodies often offer higher protection. The casual fit will not appeal to everyone, but I think it makes this an easy layer to wear on and off the trail. Best suited to warm-weather hiking, travel and everyday outdoor use.
