Warm, windproof, and flexible—perfect for keeping your hands comfortable on cold, blustery treks.
Outdoor Research says:
The Stormtracker Sensor Windbloc Gloves offer classic mid-weight multi-purpose mountain versatility
with 3-layer Polartec® Windbloc™ fabric and a leather palm.
Our Verdict
The Outdoor Research Stormtracker Sensor Gloves are a great choice for cold, windy days when you need warm hands but don’t want to lose dexterity. The Polartec Windbloc fabric keeps out wind, and the water-resistant leather palms give a solid grip, even when things get damp.
The snug fit, thanks to the elasticated wrist, and zipped gauntlet, feels secure, and they layer easily under a jacket. The touchscreen-compatible leather on the thumb and index finger work well, letting me use my phone or GPS without having to take the gloves off.
At 122g for the medium size, they’re lightweight and easy to carry. While they’re not fully waterproof, they’re more than capable of handling most cold-weather hikes or outdoor activities. If you’re after a pair of gloves that balance wind protection, warmth, and usability, these are a solid pick.
