For wet weather garments and equipment Stormsure's Stormproof is a spray-on durable water repellent that you should use on outdoor gear such as foul weather clothing, raincoats, woollen coats, hats, breathable jackets, fleeces, tweeds, synthetics, tents and footwear. Unlike some other reproofer sprays, Stormproof is non-toxic and does not have a nauseating chemical smell, meaning it can be used in any environment and not necessarily outdoors.
Our Verdict
Stormsure's Storm proof re-proofer spray adds a very effective DWR coating to outdoor gear and equipment. It is really easy to apply in the spray bottle and you only need to wait a couple of hours for it to be fully effective. Running the garment through the tumble dryer at a low heat or ironing adds to the effectiveness.
This product uses a chemical mixture that contains PFCs, there is a shift in the industry away from using these chemicals in the manufacturing process - to make an informed decision find out more about PFCs here.
