The Hoka Speedgoat 6 Mid GTX is a superb option for hikers seeking a lightweight mid-height boot that combines trail-running agility with hiking durability. Weighing 299g per UK8.5 shoe, it’s impressively light for a waterproof boot. The flexible mid-collar enhances mobility, making it more comfortable for faster-paced hikes or technical trails. But it doesn't offer the support of a traditional boot; the collar acts more like a gaiter and offers little in the way of ankle support.
The waterproof GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane ensures your feet stay dry in wet conditions without sacrificing breathability, while the Vibram® Megagrip outsole, with 5mm lugs, provides reliable traction on loose or uneven terrain.
