The perfect pole for mountain hiking. The high-quality carbon shaft offers the perfect combination of lightness and stability. It is equipped with the slim Verticon foam grip. What makes it special is the dimensionally stable, ultra-light and quick-drying D-Loop Mesh Strap, which is already used in trail running. The grip weighs only 28 g including the strap and impresses with its absolute lightness, perfect ergonomic shape and a grip extension for additional grip options. After many metres of altitude gain, the Verticon offers descent control and comfort with its large grip surface. Thanks to the simple adjustment system, it can be quickly adjusted in length between 110 and 130 cm.
Note on use: The product is weight-optimised and designed for experienced mountain walking. It requires particularly skilful and careful use. The product is explicitly not designed for use in skiing or ski mountaineering and is not protected against impact from the ski edge.
Do not use the pole or poles as a walking aid in accordance with DIN EN 1985. Poles intended exclusively for trekking, cross-trail, trail running and Nordic walking may not be used for skiing.
Our Verdict
At 179g per pole, these are among the lightest adjustable trekking poles I’ve used, yet they don’t compromise trail performance. The hybrid design—part Z-fold, part telescopic—packs down to just 40 cm, which is great for stowing in a side pocket when not in use.
The Verticon grip is minimalist but well-shaped, with just enough contour for comfort and a decent range of hand positions thanks to the extended foam. The mesh strap is breathable and easy to cinch down. The Speed Lock system holds firm under pressure and adjusts quickly.
