Our Verdict
Luna Project is a Korean brand known for carefully considered ultralight gear with a focus on practical refinement. The Shoulder Air Mesh Pad is a clear example of that design philosophy.
Available in two sizes, Small (38g) and Medium (50g), these pads use poly monofilament mesh with a UHMWPE-reinforced grid to create structure and airflow under shoulder straps. The design adds just under a centimetre of lift, improving breathability and reducing pressure points without interfering with pack fit or strap function.
Each set includes two pads, secured with simple Velcro wraps that install cleanly on most pack harnesses. Once fitted, they stay firmly in place and feel well-integrated rather than improvised. In warm or humid conditions, the airflow is immediately noticeable, helping to manage sweat and prevent shoulder strap fatigue over long days.
The mesh holds its shape and spring over time, with no sign of collapse or edge fraying after extended use.
