Micro gaiter for the protection of the shoe´s upper part, the ankle and the lower tibial area. It prevents snow, mud and gravel from entering the shoe, thus keeping the area perfectly dry and clean and favouring optimal thermoregulation of the foot.
It allows the runner to use in perfect comfort a mountain running shoe with a Gore-tex membrane, keeping the foot perfectly dry.
The assembly of membrane fabrics with SEAMLESS technology (without seams) guarantees total waterproofing of the garment. The WATER REPELLENT treatment prevents the outer part of the fabric from becoming drenched. The anchoring system in the front part of the shoe on the shoe´s laces, combined with the inner silicone band and the speed lace, guarantee perfect adherence and stability on the shoe. Lycra cuff with velcro closure to allow a comfortable fit combined with a perfect closure on the top. The brand and fluorescent LEFT and RIGHT markings accentuate the runner’s visibility.
Our Verdict
The Running Micro Gaiter uses a laminated waterproof fabric with no stitched seams, reducing water ingress and helping maintain comfort on wet or snowy ground. At 82g (Medium), it is a straightforward way to keep the top of the shoe and lower ankle clear of grit and slush. The fit relies on a lace hook at the front, an internal silicone band that adds friction and a tidy velcro cuff to adjust fit. The gater feels secure once adjusted and can be quickly removed with a water-resistant zip.
Breathability is reasonable for a sealed fabric, and the gaiter stays comfortable without noticeable heat buildup. The fabric has a slightly structured feel that holds its shape well, and the build quality looks solid with clean bonding and neat edges.
The replaceable speed lace is a practical touch for long-term use. While fit will depend on individual ankle shape, it's nice to see some adjustability. The overall design is well considered, and the weight makes it a simple addition for rough, wet or muddy routes.
