Our Verdict
Patagonia's R1 Daily Beanie is a highly wicking beanie hat that is thin enough to not cause overheating and stops the constant need to take your hat on and off periodically as you cycle between too warm and too cold.
The stretchy material of the hat provides a close fit around your head and the material is thin enough to help regulate your temperature. Don't expect this thin beanie to block any wind out in the hills as it's really not designed to do that at all.
