Our Verdict
Made from Montane’s very own THERMO GRID HL fleece, a double weave, brushed-back fleece to keep you warm in the cooler months. The hoodie has a good deal of stretch and minimizes skin contact thanks to its grid-like design. This allows moisture to quickly wick away from the skin, while still keeping you warm and comfortable, even in moist conditions.
The main front zip is backed with a windproof storm guard to keep the chill from getting to your core. The hooded version of this jacket has two hand-warming pockets on each side.
The hood is nice and snug, it has no means of adjusting the fit, but I found it a tight but non-constrictive fit. That has room for a hat underneath, yet can still fit under a helmet.
