Our Verdict
The PoleLock x2 is a straightforward idea that works best with compatible tents, primarily Terra Nova models, though others using circular grommets can also benefit. Designed for poles up to 9mm in diameter, the locks slide onto the end of the pole, allowing it to serve as an additional peg point.
This creates a more secure anchor at key stress areas, helping the tent sit more firmly and hold its shape more reliably. It is particularly useful on designs with short strut poles at the head or foot, where extra stability makes a noticeable difference.
At 13g each, they are a small addition with a practical benefit. The only limitation is that they are sold in packs of two, when four would make more sense to cover all corners.
