Our Verdict
The Salewa Pedroc 2 PTX Mid weighs 397g per shoe and feels agile and responsive, with a firm, stable platform underfoot. The mid-cut design adds useful ankle support without feeling restrictive, giving a bit more confidence on uneven ground. The 3F system, linking the laces to the heel, helps draw the foot back into place and hold it securely without needing to overtighten. Cushioning leans towards responsive rather than soft, supporting longer distances without feeling unstable. The Powertex lining manages wet conditions well, and the Pomoca outsole grips reliably on rock. It suits fast-paced hiking where you want a balance of support, protection and control.
