Our Verdict
Attaching this life straw to a bottle is my preferred way of filtering water; filling a water bottle and then drinking or prosses the water as and when you need it is a simple solution. You can also drink straight from the river or lake, but, I have to admit I have never attempted to lie down and drink strain from the source, and to be honest, I have no intention of doing so; it seems like filling a water bottle is a much simpler way of doing things.
Both the clean and dirty ends of the filter have a flip cap so you can fully seal both ends, which I'm a fan of; it means you can’t potentially lose a cap, and in cold weather, you can bring your filter inside your sleeping bag to protect it from the frost without worrying you’ll get the inside of your sleeping bag wet.
