Our Verdict
The Patagonia Terravia Trail Pants are lightweight hiking trousers for fast walking, travel and warmer three-season use. At 288g (Medium), they feel focused on breathability, stretch, and quick-drying rather than heavy-duty protection.
The recycled polyester-spandex fabric is the main strength. It moves easily on steeper ground and dries quickly after showers or damp grass. The PFAS-free DWR finish adds some light weather resistance.
The slim fit keeps the trousers neat, though it may feel close around the calves and thighs if you prefer a more relaxed cut. I like the secure pocket layout, with zipped front pockets, a zipped rear pocket and a zipped thigh pocket for small essentials.
