The Paradox Mitt is a lightweight, waterproof, and packable mitt featuring PrimaLoft® Gold Eco insulation and Extremities X-Dry® technology. Designed as a warmth boost layer, it keeps hands dry and comfortable in cold, wet conditions.

Touchscreen-compatible fingertips allow for convenient use of smartphones and GPS without removing the mitts.
Packing down to just 6cm x 6cm into the supplied stuff bag, the Paradox Mitt is ideal for carrying as an emergency shell or a compact warmth booster on hikes, expeditions, or every day use in unpredictable winter weather.
Our Verdict
These mitts are incredibly warm, lightweight, and packable, providing exceptional warmth on winter excursions. I would be comfortable using these mitts on some low-level hikes, winter hill walks, and as an everyday mitt in the "real world." However, when incorporated into a glove layering system, the mitts truly shine; they would be excellent under a rugged, weatherproof shell.
Although these gloves are advertised as waterproof, I would err on the side of caution and classify them as water-resistant. They will repel light rain, sleet, and snow, but I would not rely on them to keep water out in extreme conditions. For this reason, I recommend using them as part of a layering system if you plan to summit during the winter.
With a great fit, these gloves provide instant warmth while being lightweight and unrestrictive. The outer glove is made of nylon that protects the PrimaLoft Gold insulation. The palm of the mitt has minimal reinforcement, which I would like to see Extremities address by providing full palm coverage. Despite being mitts, they have some touchscreen capabilities, which are limited by the mitt shape. It works a little, but I would not be confident using them to navigate.
