The Outdoor Research Sunbriolet Sun Hat remains a strong option for sustained sun exposure. At 80g (Medium), it feels light yet structured, with a brim that holds its shape, providing consistent shade across the face and neck.
Zoned mesh panels and a breathable lining improve airflow compared to fully solid hats. Heat disperses well during, and the nylon fabric dries quickly after sweat or light rain. The crown cinch allows precise adjustment, and the detachable chin cord keeps the hat stable in gusty conditions.
Stitching is tidy, and the brim maintains its profile even after being packed.
