The Original BUFF® has been updated with the latest fabric technology making it 4 way stretch. The revamped product is made from recycled polyester microfibre obtained from clear plastic recycled bottles supplied and certified by Repreve®. Suitable for all weather conditions the Original BUFF® has a UPF 50 rating.
ORIGINAL BUFF is a multifunctional tubular accessory ideal for many activities. Designed to keep you warm in the cold, Original BUFF will also wick moisture (sweat) away from your skin to keep you cool when it is hot. The lightweight, breathable, microfibre fabric is extremely comfortable to wear.
Uses: ORIGINAL BUFF can be worn as a neckerchief, headband, wristband, mask, hair-band, balaclava, scarf, headband, scrunchie, saharaine, pirate cap, beanie and bandana.
Our Verdict
Buff's Original Buff is a classic piece of outdoor kit. Marketed to within an inch of its life it nonetheless is a pretty useful thing. I won't go on a long trek without one and I usually wear it around my neck where it adds quite a bit of warmth and protects my neck from the sun.
It sometimes gets too hot to wear but for the cooler three seasons its an everyday accessory. There are times when I've worn it across my nose and mouth to protect against windblown dust and there are times when I've worn it in beanie mode - though I like a bespoke beanie as a first choice.
So I haven't really explored the other configurations but I don't need to - I know what it does for me and I really find it useful. Often copied - the original's the best - obviously! This new version is now even stretchier.
